Each trust in the South West has a designated SuppoRTT Champion whose role is to oversee the return to work process. They are all hospital consultants or GPs and liaise with departments prior to the trainees return. Most trainee reviews will be with their educational supervisor, but if further support is required, the SuppoRTT champions can be really helpful with detailed knowledge of further available resources. They are also able to refer to Occupational help and the Professional Development Unit if required
