PANS PANDAS – Guidance for GP’s and Primary Care

This will be a 2 hour run through the basics of PANS PANDAS and how to manage these patients in a primary care setting.

Children with PANS PANDAS offer a challenge to the general practitioner and primary health care team. These conditions are often misdiagnosed and only a minority of GP’s are aware of how to investigate and manage these conditons. We will run through the pathophysiology of these conditions and how to manage them in primary care with an emphasis of the challenges to primary health care practitioners.
