DESCRIPTION:Dear Colleagues\, \n\n\n\nStudy days: Coronial Inquest Simulation. \n\n\n\nThe landscape of inquests is evolving nationally\, with both their frequency and complexity on the rise. To address these changes\, we are delighted to announce an upcoming 2-day educational course focused on the inquest process and statement writing\, culminating in a unique simulation-based mock inquest. \n\n\n\nThis bespoke training program has been developed by the in-house healthcare legal team at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust in collaboration with the MAPLE team. Drawing from their experience in supporting staff during inquests\, this course offers you the chance to practice giving evidence in a simulated courtroom setting. Additionally\, we will feature insights from a clinician experienced in giving evidence\, emphasising well-being and prioritising the family’s perspective throughout the proceedings. \n\n\n\nTo ensure these sessions meet to your needs and experience\, we kindly request you to complete a brief\, anonymous questionnaire. Your feedback will play a pivotal role in tailoring essential educational packages for you and your teams. SUMMARY:NeoBUS - Neonatal Bedside Ultrasound Course
DESCRIPTION:This one day course focuses on the practical application of bedside ultrasonography of the heart\, lungs\, abdomen and vascular access in neonates with an emphasis on ‘hands on learning’. Short talks will be followed by workshops helping to familiarize candidates in small group teaching with available techniques and equipment. You will be scanning babies\, whose parents have kindly agreed to assist us with the course as well as mannikins\, provided to us by Intelligent Ultrasound.  \n\n\n\nThe number of candidates will be limited to 16. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nPlease can you email me your grade/current location of work. \n\n\n\nPlaces will be allocated on a first come first served basis but will be prioritized for GRID neonatal trainees and those with a specialist interest in neonatology – ideally ST4+  \n\n\n\nIf anyone is interested please contact amiel.billetop@nbt.nhs.uk
