DESCRIPTION:This one day course focuses on the practical application of bedside ultrasonography of the heart\, lungs\, abdomen and vascular access in neonates with an emphasis on ‘hands on learning’. Short talks will be followed by workshops helping to familiarize candidates in small group teaching with available techniques and equipment. You will be scanning babies\, whose parents have kindly agreed to assist us with the course as well as mannikins\, provided to us by Intelligent Ultrasound.  \n\n\n\nThe number of candidates will be limited to 16. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nPlease can you email me your grade/current location of work. \n\n\n\nPlaces will be allocated on a first come first served basis but will be prioritized for GRID neonatal trainees and those with a specialist interest in neonatology – ideally ST4+  \n\n\n\nIf anyone is interested please contact amiel.billetop@nbt.nhs.uk

SUMMARY:Virtual Return to Paediatric Training Course
DESCRIPTION:Have you had a break from work for 3 months or more? If so\, you are invited to join us for the next virtual paediatric return to work course! A mixture of recent updates in paediatrics\, virtual SIM (that you watch and chat about in a very low-key non-threatening way) and tips about how to survive and thrive when you return to work by an expert faculty that have all had a break in training for various reasons. \n\n\n\nWe have kept the course virtual so that you can juggle other committments such as childcare (we love seeing your small people on screen to join you when needed!) and some of the sessions are recorded to access later. By attending on the day you will also be able to chat with each other in break out rooms and ask questions and share fears that you have about returning to work. It is most likely that lots of us have felt the same way 🙂 \n\n\n\nThis course is free and open to any paediatric doctor who has is currently on\, or recently had a break from work. DESCRIPTION:** Currently only open to doctors at UHBW ** \n\n\n\nUHBW Simulation Services are pleased to offer this half-day paediatric safeguarding simulation course\, offering immersive paediatric safeguarding experience.  \n\n\n\nWith an experienced Faculty\, this will also be a great opportunity to get safeguarding CBDs completed.  \n\n\n\nApologies\, but for this pilot of the course\, we can only offer spaces to UHBW employees.  \n\n\n\nThe next aim is to open the course to all members of the MDT and to trainees across the region. SUMMARY:NeoBUS - Neonatal Bedside Ultrasound Course
DESCRIPTION:Neonatal Bedside Ultrasound Course – Friday 23rd June \n\n\n\nThis one day course focuses on the practical application of bedside ultrasonography of the heart\, lungs and abdomen in neonates with an emphasis on ‘hands on learning’. Short talks will be followed by workshops helping to familiarize candidates in small group teaching with available techniques and equipment. You will be scanning babies\, whose parents have kindly agreed to assist us with the course as well as mannikins\, provided to us by Intelligent Ultrasound. \n\n\n\nThe number of candidates will be limited to 16. \n\n\n\nAimed at Paediatric/Neonatal ST Doctors – ST4+ \n\n\n\nVenue: Southmead Hospital.
